Welcome to the Website of Sir Harry Smith Community College. I hope that we are able to convey to you some of what we are like as a school and to give you all the information that you need, either as a parent, student, Governor, member of our local community or prospective member of staff.  

The College was given an excellent Ofsted report in 2008, when we were classed as a “good school”. A highlight of the report was that the enjoyment of the students was rated as “outstanding”. The inspectors found that “the students make good progress because they are taught well; they have very good attitudes to learning, behaviour in lessons is often exemplary: attendance and punctuality are good.”  

We are proud to be a comprehensive school which serves our local community. We have some excellent facilities which we are constantly updating. The latest building project was a new Sixth Form/Community Centre, which was completed in January 2009. The College is also part of the Cambridgeshire Building Schools for the Future programme, which aims to transform the buildings and the learning at the College over the next five years through a multi million pound investment.
