    Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.10pm, term time only

    This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role at the College as a Cover Supervisor/Teaching Assistant/Admin Assistant on a temporary contract until the summer term 2021.  You will to be asked to supervise students in the classroom during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher, ensuring that students remain on task with the work that they have been set and to manage their behaviour whilst they undertake this work ensuring a productive environment.  The role requires candidates to be flexible, patient and confident. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.10pm with an hour break during the day. 

    Sir Harry Smith Community College is an 11-18 Academy with over 1,000 students on roll, proud of its traditional values and innovative approaches to Teaching and Learning and its standards of discipline and respect.  The College serves the market town of Whittlesey, seven miles outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.  The College is part of the Aspire Learning Trust working together with Park Lane and New Road Primary Schools, in Whittlesey, to help every child achieve their full potential, to prepare them for their next educational steps, to teach them kindness and respect for all and to equip them to play a full satisfying role in society.
