    We are looking to recruit a Science Laboratory Technician to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work as part of a team supporting the staff and students and be optimistic, enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to flourish in a busy environment whilst remaining calm under pressure. Our science team pride themselves on creating and delivering an engaging curriculum which inspires our students to become immersed in a love of science.

    The hours will be 28.5 per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am – 3.30pm, with a half hour lunch break; Wednesday 9.30am - 2pm).

    Sir Harry Smith Community College is an 11-18 Academy with over 1,000 students on roll, proud of its traditional values and innovative approaches to Teaching and Learning and its standards of discipline and respect. The College serves the market town of Whittlesey, seven miles outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The College is part of the Aspire Learning Trust working together with Park Lane and New Road Primary Schools, in Whittlesey, to help every child achieve their full potential, to prepare them for their next educational steps, to teach them kindness and respect for all and to equip them to play a full satisfying role in society.
