    We are seeking to appoint a Newly Qualified Teacher of English who is interested in joining our successful English department and who must be an enthusiastic and innovative classroom practitioner.  You will be joining a strong, supportive and forward thinking department.  As an NQT, you will follow our highly successful training and support programme which aims to welcome new teachers and build their self-confidence.

    In October 2018, Ofsted recognised that Sir Harry Smith Community College continues to be a Good school.  They also acknowledged that we are “A vibrant, welcoming and caring school, in which pupils enjoy their learning and feel valued.”

    Sir Harry Smith Community College is an 11-18 Academy, proud of its traditional values and innovative approaches to Teaching and Learning and its standards of discipline and respect.  The College serves the market town of Whittlesey, seven miles outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.  The College is part of the Aspire Learning Trust working together with Park Lane and New Road Primary Schools, also in Whittlesey, to help every child achieve their full potential, to prepare them for their next educational steps, to teach them kindness and respect for all and to equip them to play a full satisfying role in society.
