MP Steve BArclay visit to the college

SHSCC was pleased to welcome local MP Steve Barclay to the college.

On Friday 12th June 2026 Steve Barclay visited the college. He spoke to 6^th form students about politics and current affairs and took lots of questions from them.

Steve said "Their questions were thoughtful, engaging and demonstrated a real interest in current affairs."

He also meet with Dr Laban, CEO of Aspire Learning Trust, and Principal Miss White to discuss the school, including some of the challenges it faces in recruiting teachers and how we might work together to find solutions.
