Former Sir Harry Smith Sixth Form student Sophie Lawrence has completed her undergraduate degree at Cambridge University, earning an outstanding First-Class degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
On 24th and 27th June, the History Department ran two trips to Warwick Castle, taking almost 120 students.
On Thursday 19th June, our College Book Groups came together to celebrate the final of the Carnegie Book Awards 2025.
On 12-13th June, 45 students and 5 staff from Sir Harry’s went on a school trip the First World War battlefields of the Somme in France.
On Tuesday 10th June, Sophie was chosen to represent the College in the Speakers’ Trust Speak Out Challenge Regional Final at Anglia Ruskin University.
On 15/5/25, we took a group of Year 8 students to visit AstraZeneca in Cambridge.
This week SHSCC are commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day. It is important that our students learn about the sacrifice that the great wartime generation made for us all.

Our Year 13 Biology students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit the prestigious Wellcome Trust’s Sanger Institute campus, a world-renowned hub for genomic research. The trip provided students with invaluable insights into cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the future of genetics.
