Former Sir Harry Smith Sixth Form student Sophie Lawrence has completed her undergraduate degree at Cambridge University, earning an outstanding First-Class degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
Sophie achieved A*AA when studying at Sir Harry Smith Sixth Form in 2022, developing a passion for Psychology, having secured a Grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A-Level.
Mr Nichols, Curriculum Manager of Psychology said “Sophie was an excellent student, having taught her both GCSE and A-Level Psychology. Sophie’s achievements are a testament to her own hard work, resilience and perseverance.”
Reflecting on her journey at Sir Harry Smith, Sophie shares “The psychology department was one of the best sources of support for me – it’s where I first fell in love with the subject. Without it, I’m not sure I ever would have been encouraged to apply to Cambridge. With Mr Nichols, I always felt like I had someone in my corner.”
Sophie will be re-joining us in September as a trainee teacher in Biology and Psychology.
