On Wednesday 13th July 2022 we will be holding a Careers Fair to give students the chance to investigate future careers and opportunities and to have the chance to speak to employers, universities, FE Colleges, and apprenticeship and volunteering providers.
Welcome to our Careers Fair at Sir Harry Smith Community College. We are very fortunate to have such a wide range of organisations coming to the College to offer advice and guidance to help you plan for your future.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet a wide range of Post-16 and Post-18 pathway providers from Further Education, Higher Education, employment, apprenticeships and volunteering sectors. It will be a chance to find out about future pathways available and to ask the questions you need to help you plan for your future career.
You will be able to visit the Careers Fair during the following times on Wednesday 13th July 2022:
Year 7 Period 1
Year 8 Period 2
Year 9 Period 3
Year 10 Period 4
Year 11/12/13 Period 5
At the start of the lesson, you must go to your timetabled classroom to register. The teacher will escort the class to the Careers Fair. You will have approximately 40 minutes to walk round and gather the information you need before meeting your teacher again in the canteen area and returning to the classroom to prepare for your next lesson.
Please make the most of this opportunity by taking time to read through this booklet and plan the organisations you would like to visit and speak to about your future career. Also, please take the booklet home and discuss it with your parents.
