SHSCC Alumni Group

We are delighted to inform you that Sir Harry Smith Community College is working with the education charity Future First to build a thriving alumni network. Amongst our former students are a whole host of talented role models who we want to connect with in order to celebrate their success and inspire our current students.

Our alumni form a vital part of our CEIAG programme by offering career and pathway advice, mentoring, presenting assemblies, and taking part in workshops, Q&A sessions and activities.

We are very proud of our strong community links, and our Alumni Group allows us to celebrate the achievements of those who have left the College and through regular updates we can keep our members up to date with activities at SHSCC.

Ex-students play a vital role in helping develop the College, and their achievements can inspire our current students to work hard, aspire and broaden their horizons. It also enables the College to improve connections with members of the community and develop links between our current and former students who have gone on to attend a wide variety of different pathways and careers.

Bi-enially we hold an Alumni Careers event, where ex-students visit the College to talk to students who are interested in following a similar career pathway. This has proved very beneficial to our current cohort, who get first hand advice and guidance from someone who has achieved their goal from the same starting point.

Your contact information will not be used by anyone else, and there is no obligation for members of the Alumni Group to do anything after signing up, but you will receive regular updates to let you know what is happening at Sir Harry Smith Community College and hear about opportunities to get involved if you would like to.

This year Future First will be running events, Q&A sessions and activities at the College with alumni volunteers, designed to enable current students to find out more about the world of work and their future options and pathways.
