Mr Paul kosciecha - chair of governors
I believe that SHSCC has an important role in the town in shaping and equipping young people to take the opportunities available to them. I became a Governor to help in this.
I am a member at the local Baptist Church and minister at Whittlesey Baptist Church. I have lived in Whittlesey since the Summer of 2016, having moved from South Wales. I’m married to Anita and we have 4 children. In my spare time I enjoy playing music, walking, DIY and anything to do with technology.

Why a became a governor
Before working in the computer industry, I trained as a primary school teacher and I have been interested in education since then. I am very keen to support the school using the skills I have developed in the work place and in voluntary work in the local community. Voluntary work has been very rewarding for me and I am looking forward to being an effective member of the school's governing body and learning new skills too.
Role
My role is that of Parent Governor and I have recently been elected as the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors.
Interests
I have been a Special Constable for nearly 30 years, initially with the Metropolitan Police and subsequently in Cambridgeshire where I have been based in Whittlesey and for a time in Huntingdon. I have in the past, managed a local football team and I continue to support my son's football team from the side lines! I play bass guitar and occasionally Flute. I am teaching myself how to play the keyboard and trying to write my own music.
Background
I was born in South London and moved to Cambridgeshire after meeting my wife Clare. We have lived in Whittlesey for 18 years. I have a degree in Primary Education but work in the Computer Industry writing software and e-commerce websites. I have been a speaker at professional conferences in America and in Europe. I have two children that attend SHSCC.
