TLR 2b (£5353.00) with additional recruitment incentive available dependent on relevant experience for a whole school responsibility aligned to the College’s Improvement Plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Computer Science teacher with the ability to teach Mathematics to lead the Computer Science department at Sir Harry Smith Community College. The school has a strong ethos in well-being and creating a sense of belonging for all our students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent and relevant degree) to lead our growing Computer Science department.

The successful candidate will lead and teach Computer Science at key stage 3 and 4, with the desire to develop the subject at key stage 5 in the future and will also contribute to the teaching of mathematics across key stage 3 & 4. They will be creative, innovative, efficient, and committed to improving outcomes for all students. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and ability to lead and develop further a team of teachers who are committed to a progressive and stimulating approach to teaching and learning and instilling a passion for these vital subjects in our students.
