Sir Harry Smith Community College

  • Key Stage 4: Years 9 to 11

    KS4 students at Sir Harry Smith Community College follow a two year AQA scheme. Students follow a range of different pathways with a strong emphasis on investigative work. Most students will complete GCSE core science in year 10, followed by GCSE Additional science in year 11. Students with an aptitude for science are encouraged to follow a two year, triple science course which leads to three GCSE qualifications in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The final grades for each course are made up of a combination of exam results and controlled assessments (ISAs).

    Contents of each course are as follows;

    GCSE Core science

    Extra Support and guidance

    Students all have access to the Doddle website https://www.doddlelearn.co.uk/app/login? This is a valuable tool containing revision resources, interactive quizzes and online homework.

    Students can logon with the following format;

    FirstnameSurnameyearofentry e.g. JamesWalker13

    Password = harrysmith

    We also recommend that students use these websites as part of their revision and between lessons.
