Teaching Assistant for English and Learning Resource Centre Assistant
Level 1A on the Teaching Assistant Job Family pay scale (£20, 441 full time equivalent)
Required for September 2023 (or sooner for a suitably experienced candidate)

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for English and Learning Resource Centre Assistant to join the English department in September 2023. The purpose of the role is to provide extra support to the English department staff and to assist in the supervision of the Learning Resource Centre. You will work with students in the classroom and library lessons to encourage their learning, liaising with teachers and assisting with the teaching strategies, student progress and resourcing. You will listen to students read and encourage reading for pleasure. You will assist in developing practical resources and worksheets for the department for use in out of school and in-class sessions.
The hours will be 9am to 3pm Monday and Friday and 9am to 4.15pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (28 hours and 45 minutes per week).
