School First Aider

Scale 2 (£11.98 per hour)

30 hours per week, term time only

(8.30am ~ 3pm with a 30-minute lunch break)

Required ASAP This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will require a cleared Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and compassionate first aider to support our college by assisting in the provision of an effective welfare service to students and staff. The right candidate will be responsible for delivering immediate medical care and assistance to students, staff and visitors. The postholder will, amongst other responsibilities, administer medication to students in line with the Trust’s policy, maintain and stock first aid supplies and equipment, liaise with outside agencies to organise student immunisation programs and complete relevant health and safety paperwork.

In October 2018, Ofsted recognised that Sir Harry Smith Community College continues to be a Good school. They also acknowledged that we are a “vibrant, welcoming and caring school, in which pupils enjoy their learning and feel valued.” “Pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities, who attend the school’s enhanced provision centre, make good progress because they are well supported.”
